Major grocery stores usually have a generic version of the foods you buy on a regular basis. The quality is the same for the most part, its just a different name, and a lower price.
Check the ingredient label first to make sure it’s the same thing though. You want to avoid picking up an unhealthy substitute.

Stop with the energy drinks, sodas, chips, granola bars, cookies, TV dinners, and other junk. They cost an arm and a leg, plus they have next to no nutritional value.
9. Stock Up
You can get a lot of good food for cheap if you buy key ingredients in bulk. Usually they will stay good for a long period of time, and can be used for a wide range of different meals.
10. Try Eating Less Meat
If your budget is tight, you may want to try eating meat less often, and replace it with other sources of protein. Nuts, legumes, dairy, whole grain breads are all excellent sources of healthy, cheap protein.
